Well woulda look at that, we’re in the Kickstarter “Popular this week” section for narrative film! Thanks so much to everyone who has already donated and spread the word!
Take that highschool football team!

Find out more about the project here

Thanks again to everyone who’s helped out. We’ve got a long road ahead of us and I really appreciate the support thus far getting us past the 2K mark. Let’s keep this train rolling!

Out of retirement to tell you to help the best film maker in Chicago, as far as I know, out. It’s a great film and my name is mentioned in it. Basically, let’s all get famous.

Wise words. I don’t know the source. I saw it on Facebook.

Words for everyone, except babies, they can’t even drive!

Running by Feel

I feel cold.

I have started to try getting my runs in outside, now that the light is allowing me to do so after work. I’m going to try and keep my runs “unplugged” for the most part, and not worry about what my Garmin is telling me my pace is, my distance is, etc. I have routes that I have run countless times, so I know the distance. I want to get more in touch with my perceived exertion verses, I need to run this pace. I used to get into the funk of “this feels really hard” only to look down and see my pace was actually really slow. That would create such a mental road block for me and would make that days particular run drag that much more.

I read Matt Fitzgerald’s Run: The Mind Body Method of Running by Feel and while I don’t think the content was particularly earth shattering it sparked the idea for me to attempt to go by feel. I’m going to try and more more time based running into my routine vs. distance based. I’m not saying anything in particular, or maybe I am, but this is a topic they throw out a lot on the Ultrarunner Podcast from time to time.

So far I like it.

Also today was still cold and my lungs have not dealt with cold running for a long time.

Good day, fellow Runblr/Fitblr (delete where appropriate),

Do you have a Garmin? Do you have a Tumblr?

If so, then keep reading.

I discovered that Garmin Connect has created a new Group function, so I thought I would create one specifically for all of you lovely Runblrs.

I’ve also included Cycling and everything else Garmin records, so you can share all of your workouts in one place.

So join up, then reblog and spread the news!

Yep, I’ll be signing up!

I’d join this is I could remember my password. I can’t even recover my password since it’s linked to my school email address, which they promised I would have for life. Well take a guess what they just made me create an “alumni account” for….
